Q: How long does it take the garage floor to dry?
A: Drying times varies upon temperature. The epoxy itself dries in an about an hour and can be walked on in 24 hours. However, the process to apply the product correctly is a multiple day process. First the floor must be cleaned and scrubbed w...ith a degreaser, then followed up with an acid etch. The floor has to dry out completely before the first coat of epoxy can be applied. After 24 hours the 2nd coat of epoxy can be applied along with the decorative flakes. Once the final coat of epoxy has been applied it will need another 24 hours to dry. Usually we say it is a 3-4 day process.
